Harp Guitar

The guitar’s a guitar is a guitar…right? And then you fuse it with another instrument altogether that can add harmony, melody and percussion in ways the guitar always wanted to. The Beardsell Harp Guitar” adds 7 sub-bass strings with Truitt sharpening levers that can extend the bass range by 13 semitones—just over an octave when tuned E flat (E), F (F#), G (G#), A (A#), Bflat (B), C (C#), D (D#). The harp body extension supports a lyrical headpiece where the sub’s are tuned with Pegheads 16:1 tuning machines. The extra tension is offset with a fully laminated rim and by a system of carbon graphite tubes that keep the rim perfectly stable. The sideports give the player and audience a surround-sound-like experience. The result is a fusion of plucked and piano-like tone—even and clear across all 13 strings.
